Logitech International S.A. was co-founded by three men in 1981: two Stanford Masters alumni Daniel Bore and Pierluigi Zappacosta; and Giacomo Marini, who was a former manager at the Italian computer and printer manufacturer Olivetti. The three men were in Apples, Vaud, Switzerland during this time. When Logitech was still in its formative years, its home base was found in Palo Alto, California, more popularly known as Silicon Valley. Today, their headquarters can be found in Romanel-sur-Morges, Switzerland, although they have offices all throughout Europe, Asia and the rest of the Americas. The product that first made Logitech well known was the computer mouse, reaching one billion mice produced in December 2008.
